Library Skills for Kindergarten and

First Grade

EXPECTATIONS

Children will select a book to take home to read and share with their families.  Kindergarten and 1st grade students visit the Library twice a week.  They will generally circulate books on the first visit of the week and return the books on the following circulation day.

Students are expected to handle books respectfully, be good library patrons, and return their materials on time.  Students may check out one or two books at a time, or a book and a magazine and read them throughout the week.   Materials should be returned or renewed the following week.
